Conditions in the mountains

For mountaineers and tourists who would like to spend an active day in Mojstrana or in the Triglav National Park, the Slovenian Mountaineering Museum offers:

We help with information about hiking, mountaineering and other tourist programs in the area, up-to-date information on weather conditions in the mountains, the opening of mountain huts and lodges, mountain guides, mountain trails, tips on safe movement and nature conservation behavior in the mountains, and information about current tourist offers.

In the immediate vicinity of the museum, in the walls of Grančišće, there are two attractive protected routes – ferratas, which allow you to experience new experiences in the rocky kingdom. To climb them, basic mountaineering equipment is required – a helmet, climbing harness and a self-protection system, which you can rent from us. If you are a beginner at via ferrata, we recommend hiring a mountain guide.

The surroundings of Mojstrana are perfect for cycling trips. Even if you left your bike at home, no problem, we have regular and electric bikes available for rent.
