By visiting the permanent GRS exhibition, they can compare the advantages of current mountain rescuers’ roles with those of the past. Face to face with the museum’s helicopter, they will assemble it from wooden parts and paint it in the colours of the first Slovene rescue and police helicopter. They will also learn the basics of safe hiking in the mountains. As participants in the program, they will receive a first aid kit, which should always be in a backpack on a mountain trail.

Aljaž Through the Eyes of Požganec
Immerse yourself in the story of Janez Klinar, affectionately known as Požganec, a housekeeper and tavern keeper from Mojstrana, a mountain guide, and assistant to our parish priest Jakob Aljaž!
A guided tour of the permanent exhibition with mountain guide Janez Klinar Požganec, Jakob Aljaž’s main assistant. Through the stories of individual museum exhibits, the actor portraying Požganec introduces the work of Jakob Aljaž around Triglav, his significance for the development of mountain tourism, and the preservation of the Slovenian face of our mountains. From his narration, we sense the integrity, wisdom, and patriotic love of the simple Slovenian person who worked as a mountain guide to provide for a better life.
To make the journey easier, Požganec offers visitors a traditional mountain snack and accompanies them with encouraging words through the permanent exhibition.
Visitors can also take photos with Požganec and take home a replica of the official badge of the Slovenian Mountaineering Association-certified mountain guide.
By arrangement, the introductory film *Svetlobe gora* (20 min) can also be viewed.
