Mountain Workshops

Based on the proposals, we will create the Aljaž Tower. Participants bring a stone on which they will place the tower.

The most famous sign on the mountain path is the Knafelc mark, which is often accompanied by a signpost. Participants will create a miniature mountain sign.

On the mountain path, we follow Knafelc’s mark, which has become a symbol of the Slovenian Alpine region. The white dot with a red ring is named after its proposer Alojz Knafelc. Participants will make magnets in the shape of the mark.

Alojz Knafelc was a versatile man. He was also a photographer and cartographer: the author of the first Slovenian mountain map of the Julian Alps, initially a teacher, and later a draftsman for the railway. In addition to the mark, his invention also includes the red direction sign with a white inscription. We will paint and create a directional sign in the shape of a key holder. All the relevant information will be written on it.

We create our own marionette and direct a real puppet show with Mountain Girl in the main role.
