Traces of Silence, photo exhibition
In February 2026, we will host a photographic exhibition by Urban Meglič titled Traces of Silence.
Kanin – a space suspended between the past and the future – will reveal itself to visitors through words, and above all through photography. The exhibition focuses on the period after the ski resort ceased operations and before its planned renovation, when the mountain landscape found itself in a moment of silence, uncertainty, and anticipation of change. It is precisely this transitional period that becomes the central theme of the exhibited works.
Urban Meglič, head of the Kanin ski resort and an experienced photographic creator, intertwines his demanding professional environment with personal artistic inspiration in a selection of winter motifs. The photographs are not merely a document of a particular moment in time, but also a thoughtful visual reflection on space, identity, and the relationship between people and the mountain landscape.
The exhibition will be on display in the Snežnik Hall from 13 February to 30 March 2026.
